First announced in 2009 as a special one-off race for pre ’63 GT cars at the Silverstone Classic, the popularity of the formula became immediately apparent, with entries from all over Europe and beyond. Now a series supported by DK Engineering, owners of these iconic early ’60s beauties are offered three races.
The Royal Automobile Club Tourist Trophy for Historic Cars is a prestigious trophy presented by the Royal Automobile Club to the winner of the Pre ’63 GT race at the Silverstone Classic. Early entry is recommended to be in with a chance to be on the illustrious Historic Tourist Trophy starting grid, where entry is approved and overseen by a selection committee within the Royal Automobile Club.
With Donington Historic Festival and Silverstone Classic lost from the 2020 programme due to the COVID-19 situation we are pleased to announce an additional race at the Thruxton Historic meeting on 15-16 August. All races are traditionally one hour long welcoming two-drivers.
