The GT3 championship was launched by Stephane Ratel with his SRO organisation in 2006, and since then, it has become the most successful GT category in modern history.  Since 2006, GT3 has spread globally in various championships, not forgetting halo events such as the Spa 24 Hours and Bathurst 12 Hours. With a wide variety of shapes, sounds and famous marques, there is much to be loved about the history of GT3.  The cars were closely related to their road-going counterparts in its early years. Then, in later years, the vehicles became significantly enhanced in areas such as aerodynamics, suspension, brakes, etc. All the while, they remain accessible with a strong focus on the racing spectacle.
