    1 - 2 May 2021

The Donington Historic Festival – a fabulous way to start the Motor Racing Legends season.

2021 marks the 10th Anniversary of Donington Historic Festival – a huge celebration with hundreds of historic race machines from the 1920s to 1980s, the DHF will also see the inaugural races for both the Amon Cup for GT40s and the Royal Automobile Club Pall Mall Cup endurance race

Since its inception in 2011, DHF has always been renowned for the quality of its grids, featuring everything from pre-War sports cars to glamorous 1950s and 60s GT and sportscars and from historic single-seaters to classic Touring Cars from the 1950s onwards.

Streamlining to a two-day format over the weekend of 1st and 2nd of May each day will see action-packed qualifying sessions and highly competitive races.  Car Clubs, Trade stands and lunchtime parades will add further to the ever popular DHF mix.

Motor Racing Legends will host no fewer than eight Series at Donington, running across six grids – a rousing start to the 2021 season!

The inaugural race for the Amon Cup for will be highly anticipated and the sight of a complete grid of Ford GT40s will be a sight not to be missed.

Following the popularity of the first three-hour race for Pre-’66 Sports, Touring and GTs cars at Silverstone Grand Prix circuit last October the race now has an official title, the Royal Automobile Club Pall Mall Cup and will be one of the highlights of the Festival.

As the E-Type model celebrates it’s 60th anniversary this year the series will have renewed dynamism as the Jaguar Classic Challenge has its first outing as part of the Motor Racing Legends stable.

Pre-war racers will be relishing the opportunity to return to the track and the ‘Mad Jack’ race forty minute race will be a rousing ‘pipe opener’ open to single or two drivers.

The Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Trophy and Stirling Moss come together for a headline 50s Sports Car one-hour, two-driver race.  The subject matter is now over sixty years old but this will be one of the most thrilling contests of the weekend as the iconic marques of Lister, Lotus, Jaguar, HWM, Cooper, Maserati, Aston Martin amongst others come together.

Donington Park is one of the most thrilling circuits to challenge a Touring Car of any age.  The Historic Touring Car Challenge and Tony Dron Trophy race showcases cars from 1969 to the Sierra Cosworth RS500s and BMW M3s of the 1990s and the Sixties Touring Car Challenge with U2TC welcomes the Mini Coopers, Lotus Cortina’s, BMWs and Alfa Romeo’s of the classic 1960s era. An hour long race will be thrilling for every minute!
