We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our great friend and Historic racer, Tony Dron.
Tony and his wife Charis have been great friends of Motor Racing Legends for very many years, not least when Tony allowed us to name our series for Group 1 and 1½ Touring Cars after him.
Tony needs no introduction for his feats behind the wheel as a front-line competitive driver in the 1970s and 80s and a prolific Historic racer ever since. He remained a faithful enthusiast of all our activities, culminating in early 2020 with the presentation to Tony of the ‘Motor Racing Legends Trophy’ at our Annual Awards at the Royal Automobile Club, for his remarkable support for Motor Racing Legends.
One of life’s true gentlemen; Tony will be greatly missed.
