Thruxton Historic – A Race Meeting
and So Much More!
Historic Race Cars and Land Rovers Head to Hampshire on 12th – 13th June
There’s less than a month to go until the flag drops on the first of five Motor Racing Legends races at the 2021 Thruxton Historic – a meeting that is always such a delightful way to spend a weekend in the countryside.
1950s sports cars are first on the bill with the combined Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Trophy and Stirling Moss Trophy race followed by the inaugural Pre ’63 GT race of the season and the first of two shoot-out races for the Historic Touring Car Challenge. HTCC, Tony Dron Trophy, U2TC and STCC cars are all welcome in this double-header grid, with a 40-minute race on both Saturday and Sunday.
Along with the second HTCC race, Sunday sees the inclusion of the MRL Pre-War Sports Cars with a 45 minute race on the Sunday along with an hour-long thriller to wrap up the weekend for the Jaguar Classic Challenge.
Our programme is bolstered by no less than three HRDC races and the tantalising Jochen Rindt Trophy – a new challenge for Formula 2, Historic and Classic F3’s, Formula Atlantic, and Formula Ford 2000 single-seaters from the 60’s 70’s & 80’s.

If that wasn’t enough to tempt you to the fastest circuit in Great Britain, the Land Rover Legends Show is the ultimate show for Land Rover enthusiasts, showcasing the very best examples of the marque and will take place in the grounds of the circuit alongside the race meeting. What’s more, entry to the show is free for those competing at the meeting. A trophy will be up for grabs for the best Land Rover or Range Rover in the race paddock!
As COVID restrictions slowly ease we anticipate that a controlled number of spectators will be able to come and join the fun at Thruxton Historic, limited to the outer-circuit viewing areas. Motor Racing Legends will be providing lunch and light hospitality and we hope to see the return of our infamous Motor Racing Legends conviviality with Saturday early-evening socially distanced drinks in the paddock on Friday and Saturday.
If you are intending to join us on-track at Thruxton, please submit your entry now using our on-line form or the traditional entry form. Some grids are proving very popular so don’t run the risk of being disappointed.
