Stirling Moss Trophy
The Stirling Moss Trophy sets the
pace with five races this coming season
The Stirling Moss Trophy is one of the longest standing Motor Racing Legends series and always a favourite at the historic racing festivals at which it appears. At the ‘sharp end’, many of the best-known names in historic motorsport can be found, wringing the best out of these fearsome machines in a spell-binding display of race car control. Sports cars of all capacities are welcomed from the golden era of late 1950s motorsport – throughout the field close competition is guaranteed.
The Stirling Moss Trophy will make an appearance at all five Motor Racing Legends events this season. Running together with the Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Trophy, Motor Racing Legends offer you an unmissable opportunity to race your 50s sports car in enviable company and in a well-supported, competitive grid.
The forthcoming season is in the main based in the UK save for the annual pilgrimage to Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium for the unmissable Spa Six Hours meeting. Visiting three first class historic festivals on home soil, and our own end-of-season Motor Racing Legends event at Silverstone Grand Prix circuit, a hassle free year of competition awaits.
The 2021 schedule is:
01 – 02 May Donington Historic Festival 60 min race
12 – 13 June Thruxton Historic 60 min race
30 July – 01 August The Classic, Silverstone 50 min race
01 – 3 October Spa Six Hours, Belgium 61 min race
30 – 31 October Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit 60 min race
Races are open to one or two drivers and all feature a mandatory pit stop. We welcome two-seater sports cars built before 1961, complying with our Series Regulations and possessing a current FIA HTP. Seven classes are contested, recognising the various capacities of the participating cars and also separating drum- and disc-braked cars; and cars must run on Dunlop Historic tyres.
