At long last some good news! After weeks of speculation and hard work, we are delighted to publish details of our revised race calendar for the remainder of this year.
First up is a revised date for the Thruxton Historic meeting – on August 15th & 16th.
Following that, the Spa Six Hours will go ahead exactly as planned on September 25th – 27th. And finally we have the Algarve Classic Festival on its scheduled date of October 23rd – 25th.

We are particularly pleased to confirm the Thruxton Historic date following the recent announcement that the Donington Historic Festival is not going to run this year. We plan to run all of our race series at this meeting, with the Woodcote Trophy and Stirling Moss Trophy grids having separate one-hour races, and the Historic Touring Car Challenge/Tony Dron Trophy will have two 40-minute races – to be shared with the Sixties Touring Car Challenge with U2TC.
In addition, there will be a 40-minute race for Pre-War Sports Cars, and a 60-minute race for Pre ’63 GT.
The GT & Sports Car Cup and Julius Thurgood’s HRDC grids will also be appearing on the programme, so there’s plenty of great content. Commercially, it is crucial for all grids that we have a big turn-out for this meeting. There appears to be a great deal of pent-up demand so hopefully everyone will come out in force.
The Spa Six Hours on 25th – 27th September remains blissfully unaffected by rescheduling or cancellation and goes ahead with its original race programme.
And the season concludes with what this year is going to be an extra-special end-of-autumn trip to the Portuguese sunshine for the Algarve Classic Festival on 23rd – 25th October. With a five-star hotel on the beach thrown in for all drivers, why would anyone go anywhere else at the end of the season? Among the traditional grids at this meeting there will be a one-hour race for the Pre ’63 GT and, following numerous requests, we are adding a Pre-War Sports Car double-header to the Portimao programme too.
