Pre-War Sports Cars Countdown to the Mad-Jack

Donington Historic Festival on May 4th – 6th marks the opening of the 2018 Pre-War racing season for Motor Racing Legends and features all of our grids – including the annual ‘Mad-Jack’ race.

Expect to see a full complement of Bentleys on the grid, alongside the Frazer Nashes of Chris Chilcot, Phil Champion, and Fred Wakeman. We are delighted to see some new faces on the grid such as Teifion Salisbury in his 1934 MG K3; and some familiar faces returning, in particular, Sue Darbyshire in her 1929 Morgan Super Aero and Richard Frankel in his 1921 3 Litre TT Bentley.

The ‘Mad Jack’ will run for 40 minutes on the Sunday morning, with qualifying on Friday afternoon. Motor Racing Legends will, of course, have our full hospitality throughout the weekend. Click here for the full DHF timetable.

Spa Six Hour meeting – get your name down early!

Since making the announcement that the Pre-War Sports Cars will be returning to the Spa Six Hour meeting on September 14th – 16th, we have had considerable interest, with nearly 20 cars entered already!

This event will be a 40-minute pit-stop race with 25 minutes of qualifying. This will all take place on the Friday – Qualifying in the morning with the race that afternoon – to allow anyone also running in the Woodcote Trophy, Stirling Moss Trophy or the Six Hours to concentrate on these races the next day.

Those coming to Spa just for the Pre-War race are very welcome to stay on to enjoy the remainder of the weekend’s racing. In particular, Motor Racing Legends will be hosting a party on the Saturday night in our two-storey hospitality box overlooking Eau Rouge – the best place to watch the famous Spa Six Hours race into the night.

This race is sure to have a bumper grid, no doubt boosted by a good number of European entries, so please let us know if you intend to join us. Please click here for an entry form.
