The Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Trophy and Stirling Moss Trophy allows pre-1956 sports cars and pre-1961 sports racing cars a showcase on the 2.69 mile circuit. With qualifying late on Saturday afternoon and a 50 minute race on the afternoon of Sunday 30th July the relaxed schedule gives opportunity to fully enjoy the meeting and Cheshire hospitality.
Statuesque Jaguar D-types dominated the first edition of the Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Trophy at the Donington Historic Festival just a few weeks ago, the family machine of brothers Gary and John Pearson coming out on-top ahead of Richard Wilson’s glorious Maserati 250S. At Oulton Park Gold Cup Richard switches to his Lotus XV in the Stirling Moss Trophy. What an opportunity to celebrate the late Sir Stirling who won the Gold Cup on five occasions in the Fifties and early Sixties, and also raced his OSCA in the historic Gold Cup with us in more recent years.
Lister Knobblyies feature in the line-up and will have a straight line speed advantage against the host of Lotus XI and XVs which will be nimble through the corners.
