Jaguar Classic Challenge : Series In Spotlight

A New Era for Racing Jaguars with Motor Racing Legends

There’s just three weeks to go before the first round of the 2021 Jaguar Classic Challenge at the Donington Historic Festival. This will be the first race as part of the Motor Racing Legends family, and the first with our new partner – Ad Valorem. Recently announced as the new sponsor of the Jaguar Classic Challenge, Ad Valorem will be supporting all five races this season – an undoubted highlight of which will be the 60th Anniversary Jaguar
E-Type Challenge at The Classic, Silverstone at the end of July.

The Jaguar Classic Challenge embraces all Pre-’66 racing Jaguar, including C- and
D-types, XKs and Mk 1 and Mk 2 saloons alongside the ever-popular E-types.

The first round of the Jaguar Classic Challenge will be at the Donington Historic Festival on 1st & 2nd May and will feature an hour-long race with mandatory pit stop and optional driver change. There’s already a bumper line-up of cars for this inaugural race but here is still time to enter before the grid fills completely.

The Donington Historic Festival is being run over just two days this year, in light of current challenges. And we have deliberately scheduled both qualifying and racing for the Jaguar Classic Challenge to take place on the Saturday to give drivers greater flexibility over their attendance at the event.

Our second round will see a one-hour race at the Thruxton Historic meeting on the
12th – 13th June, the challenging fast flowing circuit is a thrilling challenge for the driver.

Our first foray of the year to the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit on 30th July to 1st August hails the welcome return of The Classic.  The one-off 60th Anniversary Jaguar E-Type Challenge will be a huge on-track birthday for the model which is one of the most popular in historic racing, albeit a race restricted to just E-types.  The Autumn sees a return to Belgium to race on the infamous Spa-Francorchamps circuit on 1st – 3rd October at the Spa Six Hours Meeting; before the season concludes back at the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit for Motor Racing Legends’ own event on 30th – 31st October.

We’re seeing an impressively strong entry for all events this year, with the E-type Challenge at the Classic already nearly half full.
