On Saturday 29th April the Jaguar Classic Challenge are the first race of the new season with a 60 minute, two-river race.  Following on are the rousing Touring Cars of the Historic Touring Car Challenge, Tony Dron Trophy and from the 1960s, Sixties Touring Car Challenge with U2TC.  Donington Park is one of the favoured venues from the Touring Car drivers, it being a virtually unchanged period venue, so a strong grid is guaranteed.  Get ready for 50 minutes of whining turbos and screaming slicks as this rousing grid is unleashed.

To conclude Saturday is the coveted three-hour Royal Automobile Pall Mall Cup race.  Open to pre-1961 Sports Racing Cars and Pre ’66 GT and Touring Cars this marathon race will be the first true endurance challenge for the new historic season.  With many pit stops, refuelling and driver changes the epic battle will rage on into the dusk of the spring evening.

Sunday 30th April features the highly anticipated Pre ’61 Sports Racing Car and Pre ’56 Sports Car one-hour Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Trophy and Stirling Moss Trophy race.

To conclude the Motor Racing Legends programme, one of the key highlights of the Pre-War Sports-Car year, the ‘Mad Jack’ takes to the track for a blissful 40 minutes of fun and thrilling competition.

Sharing the programme are races from the Historic Racing Drivers Club (HRDC) and the Superformance Ferrari Club Classic Series.

Qualifying for races will take place in the morning of the afternoon race.  There will also be a host of track demonstrations and car club displays supporting the meeting, which has become the leading homage to historic racing at the popular midlands venue.

Entries for Motor Racing Legend races will be open in just a few weeks!
