The Royal Automobile Club and Motor Racing Legends are delighted to announce the launch of ‘The Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Trophy’ for genuine post-War sports cars built up to December 1955.
This new series of races has arisen directly from demand among competitors for longer-distance racing at the very best European historic festivals, where the emphasis is firmly on the sporting challenge and cars running to period specification.
The official launch of the Woodcote Trophy was held at the Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall, on Tuesday 14th March 2006. A stimulating debate among competitors and owners confirmed the demand for a new series of races paying strict attention to period specification and high driving standards. That is precisely why the ‘Woodcote Trophy’ has been launched.
