News & Race Reports Entries/results Gallery Calendar Forms New for 2010, Motor Racing Legends has launched a brand-new series of historic races: the Stirling Moss Trophy. Inspired by the success of the one-off race of this name at the Algarve in October, the series is for genuine, pre-1961 sportscars and sports-racers. The aim is to offer the most authentic historic motor racing possible, with longer, two-driver races at high-profile meetings. The Stirling Moss Trophy, supported by JD Classics, will build on Motor Racing Legends’ ethos of inviting only genuine cars built to period specification, with an expectation of driving standards that are ‘gentlemanly’ as well as highly competitive.
It is a tremendous honour that Sir Stirling has allowed Motor Racing Legends to use his name for the new series, and the intention is to invite the very best cars from this evocative era. For 2010, a full season of motorsport offers six rounds of the new Stirling Moss Trophy, which will absorb the current BRDC Historic Sportscars series but extend the entry criteria to include GTs, as well as sportscars and sports-racers. For the full calendar, please see the Calendar page. Entry forms can be downloaded from the Forms page.
