Thruxton Historic brings a mouth-watering array of sensational sportscars, flame-spitting saloons and evocative racing cars will thrill the crowds with more than 14 races on the bill as the past comes back to life at the fastest circuit in the country.
Over two days visitors will be treated to a wealth of on-track racing action with glorious machinery from across the decades courtesy of Historic Promotions. Confirmed Motor Racing Legends grids include;
Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Trophy,
Stirling Moss Trophy,
Sixties Touring Car Challenge with U2TC,
Historic Touring Car Challenge with Tony Dron Trophy,
Also on the bill is the popular GT & Sports Car Cup for Pre ’66 GTs and Pre ’63 Sports Cars that competed in the World Endurance Championship in period, the Jaguar Classic Challenge plus two grids from the HRDC, the Coys 100 Trophy Dunlop Allstars and Classic Alfa Challenge. All grids will qualify and race on Saturday and Sunday only.
Off-track, there will be no shortage of activities for spectators to enjoy including Thruxton’s impressive supercar display, circuit coach rides, sideways skid pan experience rides. A number of car clubs from across the UK are also set to attend.
An exciting edition to this year’s event is the presence of the Land Rover Legends show, a Land Rover event like no other, celebrating everything special about the Land Rover brand, both past and present. Competitors and spectators will be able to enjoy both events simultaneously in the ticket price. Visitors can expect all the usual Land Rover Legends show features such as the Star Cars, National Awards, unique displays, anniversary celebrations, clubs, parades, exhibitors and traders. There will be daily parades on the circuit during the lunch break celebrating 50 years of the Range Rover and the 40th anniversary of the first V8 Series 1. Thruxton is well set-up for those who wish to camp in motorhomes or caravans, or even if you have a hotel not too far away, all competitors are invited to an evening of festivities at the circuit on Saturday night with a band in the Thruxton centre which also has an excellent restaurant and licensed bar.
