Historic Motorsport Awards

1955 Ferrari MondialOn Saturday 24th March 2007, at the annual Historic Motorsport Awards Charity Dinner, held in association with Race Retro (the 4th International Historic Motorsport Show), the very best drivers, riders, navigators, organisers, companies and journalists of the European historic motorsport world were honoured.

Motor Racing Legends was thrilled to be nominated twice – and subsequently to be shortlisted twice – in these prestigious awards. Duncan Wiltshire was shortlisted for the Historic Motorsport Personality of the Year, while the Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Trophy, the new series launched by Motor Racing Legends last year, was shortlisted for the Championship or Series of the Year.

The Awards Dinner took place during the three-day Race Retro, the International Historic Motorsport Show. The Motor Racing Legends stand at the Show welcomed a huge number of competitors to discuss the Le Mans Legend support race at the 24 Hours, the Woodcote Trophy for pre-1956 sports-racers, or our Pre-War Sports Car Series – and in some cases, all three! Our generous supporter, Gregor Fisken, lent the fabulous 1955 Ferrari 500 Mondial to grace the stand, which drew immense interest from the show’s 25,000 visitors.
