Gregor Fisken Extends Commitment to Motor Racing Legends in 2007

Following the very welcome support of Gregor Fisken in the inaugural year of the Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Trophy, the highly-respected dealership in fine historic automobiles will be extending its involvement with Motor Racing Legends for 2007.

In addition to the Woodcote Trophy, Gregor Fisken’s support will now extend to the Motor Racing Legends Pre-War Sports Car Series.

Gregor Fisken at Spa 2006Says Gregor Fisken: “Last year we broke new ground by supporting our good friends Motor Racing Legends with the Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Trophy. We identified it as a series which was going to encourage people to bring out the best early-1950s sports-racing cars, and we thought: When did we last see Jaguar D-types fighting it out with 300S Maseratis? And C-types, with 340MM Ferraris; proper XK140s and early MGAs, OSCAs and Morettis plus A6GCS Maseratis and all those wonderful British Astons – and in an endurance format with two drivers. We knew Duncan Wiltshire could pull something pretty special out of the bag but we had no idea that we were going to see such great grids.

“The drivers too – Sir Stirling Moss, for example, sharing an Osca with up-and-coming Le Mans driver Gavin Pickering. It’s the right crowd. Good people. Great cars. It’s not one of those series where there’s a do-or-die, crash-in-the-first-lap attitude. You can see the spirit of the series off the track as well as on it: the fun that people are having, the camaraderie. You know that people respect their cars and are there to have a good race. I think the very least we can do is to bring a little sponsorship to bear.”

Motor Racing Legends would like to thank Gregor Fisken for the dealership’s increased recognition and support.
